This is a plan for a 5 storey development on the site of Wickford Angling, behind the cycle shop at the bottom of London Road, next to the new 5 storey block of flats recently built on the site of Frasier's Cafe bar.

The illustrations below are taken from the application 10/00034/FULL published on the Council's website. The proposed two buildings include a restaurant at ground floor level and 9 flats, with car parking under one of the buildings for 9 cars. A decision will be made on 17th March 2010.

Yet another block of flats planned for Wickford. Even the discredited Wickford Masterplan had set aside this area of Wickford as an 'entertainment zone', but with a 5 storey block of 36 flats already built here, the aspirations of the Council's planners look like being dashed again.
