31st July, Basildon's
planning committee approved this block Woodlands Road leads from the bottom of London Road to the Market, behind Hall's Corner. In the early 1900s, Thomas Reed had a foundry and smithy, and this area was known as Foundry Corner; there is a photo on page 47 of Judith William's book, A History of Wickford.
